CrossRoads

Always n Always I dont know why but I have found myself on crossroads....
this way or tat way n everytime my heart / mind are in a tussle which way to choose from...
I think I have always been following my heart ( n I convince myself tat my mind is sayin d same thing ) but this time I think for the first time I have followed my mind... and I m tryin my best to convince my heart about it !

Life for me has always been full of choices on the same occasion, never ever I have my plate of one choice, when there is a need for me to grab somehting.. be it change of my career path / company / project I have been on a bumpy road to decide for things... But I think that I have always taken d rite step.. n God has always supported me in that and I always think he has HIS blessings on me always in what ever path I choose... I take it that HE is d divine super power in making me decide what I choose
( Dont know if thats my escape plan if things r not working out / or my childhood belief that GOD makes you do things in a way he has planned for us )

I hope the path I chose this time is as perfect as planned & I get what we have been wishing/desiring for long..

God Bless me and my family !

    Deal or NO Deal

Was just sittin in my room and was doing nothing but surfing chhanels... when i got to see a serial on NBC "Deal or No Deal".....
oh my god reminded me of apni Mandira Bedi hostin Desi "Deal or no Deal"....
Ghosh ! how badly she used to conduct the whole serial...
this one which i saw the original american version was real fun...
The prize money was 750,000 $.... ( tats ok since it ws in US ) but the whole conductin' of the serial was good unlike the bedi's one..

it had all emotions attatched to it... the person parents were there, his wife, his brothers.... he was a chinsese and his parents came to US with 750 $ with them and not he was a contestant who was tryin to get his luck on 1000 times more what they had brought ( 750,000 )....

they also had the suitcases ( though all sexy blondes holding the suitcases) and the banker ..... but the host n banler talkin was barely minimum and no overacting...

All in all the show looked more interesting :) ( Original rules may be )
banker offered him several times but he promplty said " No deal"
finally it boiled down to 4 suitcases of 75,750,7500 and 750,000.....

750 was a magic number for his family and he was offered a monay of 300,000 dollars which he accpeted..... :)

guess what when he was asked to pick another suitcase after he quit the game it was 750,000, which menat he would have lost all... and he had with him a suitcase of 750 only....

a vicious circle could have been all over again... ! wat a co incidence... son winning what his parents brought when came to US....

but still he managed to hold his witsand won 300,000 $.....

now i knw what was the original "Deal or No Deal"

    Houston Dowtown

This weekend a gang of 4,(me, naresh, vishwaas and ranjit) who met by chance and luck happened to go to Houston downtown..
For all four of us , US is a new world, so we thought instead of following a daily routine of beer, cards n grocery shopping, lets explore the downtown..
Thanks to PD who gave us the car for weekend ( though we had to ask for it, else we wud hv be'n on foot ) who is PD tat's not important.. but he deserves a thanks...

So started with the http://www.mapquest.com/ exploring and how to get to the initial road was Vishwaas job n then bcoz of my map readin' abilities ( haha, thanks to my german stinit ) I took the job of guiding the later part...
but north south for all of us is like al d same,( earth is round na , so how come perpendicular directions hehehehe ;) every time someone asks me where is north i think "wish I had a Compass with me" and I would have promptly told him...
so from the start after the toll paid at W.SAM Houston Tollway, we headed to a wrong direction :)
But then we continued driving as we had no other option of stopping in way in between like in India ... a stop on the GT road and asking a Dhaba waala "Paaji.. eh road kithe jaandi hain " and he would help anyone smilin selflessly and hoping against the hope "if they cud all hv a cup of tea in his dhaba.."
But then we took an EXIT and as someone(CJ) told me when "you losse a way got to Gas filling station" as they call it :), and to our surprise he said keep on going straight and follow the boards "Downtown".... wow though we took a wrong direction but we ended in taking a LONG route.. which lead to downtown... Didnt i earlier say that world is round , so go anywhere you end up reaching the place you want... :)
so we reached the downtown n all of us in excitement said WOW in union.... it was a nice place but then we had to get rid of the car, so that we could explore the place by foot and more importantly we could get ourselves clicked... so first parking place we saw was 1.5 dollars for 15 mins.... instantly we calculated and converted the cost and we reversed and started in hunt for a cheaper option...

Thanks to our JUGAR-baazi we parked the car for free in the parking of RANDALLS ( a Grocery shop ).. Now no one should see that we are cheating them we very smartly went inside the shop ( for us its not less than a floor of a mall ), cheated oursleves that we are shopping and comparing the prices of the products we had purchased yestaerday from Wal-Mart.. after some time we came out and started with the exploration of downtown..

We headed towards the METRO station, to enjoy a ride to an alternate station, which we could have covered 5 mins by walk, but then coming to HOUSTON downtown firsttime and not taking a Metro, you must be missing something.. :)

On the way to the station, we saw two cars crashed into each other and BANG was the noise... I was very excited and wanted to see how soon the police would come to the scene.. ( is US Police as efficient than the Indian Police )...

but to our surprise those two men very quietly moved their cars to the side ( not to block the traffic ) and they didnt shouted, nor showed fists to one another and neither other people came in between to sort the matter.. in other words "Koi wi butha chuk ke nahin aaya" na hi kisse ne poochyan "zyaada ta nahin laagi..... chalo koi na bachaaw ho gaya... " How no feelings are there in these people :) come in india, meet with an accident, first hungaama between tow parties and then a mela would be on the spot blocking the traffic for at least 2 hiurs,.. tabhi to mazaa aayega n lagega ki khuch huan hain.... :)

But then we also became feeling-less and moved to our further exploration and photo session.. Came on the way was JPMorgan chase bldg, Bank of america bldg, and many other small bldgs which were like 70-80 story bldgs but they are small na... Bayou Theatre,Hard Rock cafe, Visitor centre,Park, all came our way for getting themselves clicked :)

The last pic we took is a class so attatching it..

    Motto...

    Motto:

well this is not bout a motto gal ( fat gal ) but about the motto of our

    educational isntitutions....

one day while drivin' a sudden thought came to my mind about the motto of my

first school... after scratching my head for some time.. i remembered the

motto of all my edu-insti's. An interesting point now was that I recited each

motto at the back of my mind and was undersatnding the real deeper meaning

    inside it..

I admit during my earlier learning days in insti's i used to cram these

motto's to get good scores in my General Knowledge ( GK ) exams and the same

cramming continued further in higher insit's which was just a habit following

    me ...

What is also intersting is, none of my teachers ever explained me the deeper meaning of the motto of their respective instituitions..
When young, it was merely a thing to get 2 more marks in exam
and when i was big enough to understand its implications in the outer world, I never thought about them, the way I am thinking today..

Each of the motto's gave us a wonderful message of learning and winning in Life, which is the most important thing in Life..
Winning ! and winning by good means.. :)

and to make sure i d'nt forget my school/college motto's when i grow old :)
and I am penning it down for myself

Sacred Heart Boys School, Ludhiana:( Class LKG to 7th )
    Learn and Enlighten

Apeejay School, Jalandhar:( Class 8th to 10th )

Moments of happiness in doing small things

In our Dead busy lives, I dont know about others but at least I have forgotten to smile on small small things..
    bcoz of technology

    I get happy now:
When I receive a nice mail,
    When my code runs efficiently,
When I am able to beat the blore traffic and get home on time.
When I am able to spend a nice time with my honey
( Order jumbled, so dont think otherwise )

Playing ludo, cards, carrom, playing every other sport( which included were
long jump, footbal, skating, badminton, judo, in my own home lawn which I had made a sports arena ) were few things which I can think of right now, which I was happy doing it and used to make me smile.

today just a thought in my mind, that we as people rushing against time... we are forgetting the joys which we receive in doing simple things ..
now i know an argument might turn up these were childish things and I am a married man now so priorities change.. but still I enjoy the rain, the drizzle and the smell of the sand when it is wet, fresh air which makes me n honey wild :) , chirping of birds, morning walk in a clean green garden. WOW these small small things would make you so happy and life so sweet n beautiful but either we are BUSY in making our lives better ( read: worse ) or we have no time to really look at it and admire it.

I hope everyone of us should make a concious effort by not running after life but staying focussed and knowing where are you heading to ?

After all life is a great gift and happens only once in a lifetime ....
lets try to live every moment in our life knowing this moment is not going to be back and enjoying sweet little things around you.. as you know 'kal ho na ho' :)

    Relationship

Relationships: This time around when Chhavs was not with me and I was attending a ceremoy which had to do everything with relationships probably I had a deeper insight into relationships..
I was attending a Marriage cermony where two people were getting into a life long relationship..
the first thought which now comes to my mind is from birth til non existence to this planet.. we as mortals try to build a relationship with one anoter....

A good relationship with our parents..
A friendly relationship with our siblings..
A true relationship with our friends..
A sincere realtionship with our teachers..
A cordial realtionship with our colleagues..

The whole world is moving fast in an attempt to build a nice and sweet relationship with one another...
Its not merely not restricted to humans but spreads to countries and organisations as well..
    Indo Pak relationship
    US Iraq relationship

Can I leave behind the most successful biz companies..
A comfortable relationship with its customers..
No i dont want to get into the
CRM ( customer relationship managment )
SRM ( supplier relationship managment ) techie stuff..

what I am bothered is the HUman Reltionship..

the way we start a relationship with the person.. or the way we have developed the best of realtionship with a person sometime back
does that remain as simple and sweet the way we had achieved in present time ?

a simple example a couple who has been marrried for 5 years now engaged into a relationship by their own will promised to live for each other from now are now leading a normal life ( might be happy by their own scale but definitely not in mmy scale..)

why the anger on one another comes out so openly in public after a period of time ?

why the person starts taking the other person so granted that he/she forgets to think to even ask of the comfort of the partner ?

why the same person is bothered NOW only of his comforts when earlier he used to stretch far beyond his capcities to give comfort to his partner?

why now he narrates all the bad habits about his partner to anyone who he sees and tries to look for sympathy from everyone when he has the biggest support besides him/her..

No I am not talking about couple who are having strained marriages and relationships but I am talking about couples whose Love I have seen grown to the highest peak .. n would have laid down their lives for one another.. But now after a period of time.. they are living bcoz tey are commited to live with each other.. ( Thank god they hv indian values alive in them)
But why I could Not i see the same passion in them...
why now the same display of affection in public is NON existent in them ?

People normally say me its not ben an year of your marriage.. wait for an year and then you would see the changes...
but wat after an year will the love take a back seat or something else takes a priority ?

agreed there are many other things which eventually take priority and few others take a back seat.. but why public display of anger frustation restlessness impatience over the partner begins ? ?

why the same RElationship for which we have done evrything possible to build a great relationship fades away to a normal relationship ?

why the ship of relation starts sinking after a while when it promised to rise high even in stormy weather ?

~from a sailor whoz commited to sail high in his BIggest n the greatest ship ( read RELATIONship )

    Great Movies !

Yesterday I had a chance to see a movie called 'Lage Raho Munna bhai'....
'CLASS' is the name which I wud describe this kind of movie ..

There are very few movies in bollywood which gives us a very serious message and yet in the end we come out of the cinema smiling.

How beutifully these days directors are trying out diff scripts .. and they are real real big big hits ( no more love triangles plzzz karan johar tried off a square this time n he had a failure ! )
see Rang de basanti .. was yet another class !

Even if 1 percent of the movie goin buffs get inspired by this movie and adopt
at least few good things if not complete Gandhigiri this movie would be labeled by me 'a real good job in terms of imparting GUD-GIRI in the people..'
at least I am inspired and will take One good thing from the movie.. :)
why did not I say not complete gandhigiri is bcoz I am not convinced about the GANDHIGIRI completley...
I disagree on gandhigiri to a certain extent...
how bout following gandhigiri on militant outfits like Lashkar-e-tohiba and al-qaeeda..I am wonderin' for this answer.. If i geta convincing answer then i would give it a thought ?

btw I feel director makes a movie to impart a good message to the public and full marks to 'Raj Kumar Hiraani' for that though I am not sure wat a director feels.. when he makes a movie..

there are definitely other directors as well who imparts other education as well to public... murder can you forget that? :)

but now back to the place from where I started long live a bit of Gandhigiri... ! ( Till I am convinced further :) )

    Have a Heart !

Sometimes... One feel bad for a person for whom you always had beeen
feelin tat this shud hv happned...

n yes tats me a real saggi.. who can nvr think somethin' bad for neone.

wat happned ? saurav da out of the indian cricket team..
but then wat mks me feel bad... now
dos it really feel bad .. well not exactly but yes.. i was feelin pity for one of the greatest indin captain..

well this all i realized wen i was watchin the show .. straight talk with Rajdeep sardesai with Saurav ganguly..

the body languae of bengali Da' was altogether different.. a proud egoistic guy to a humble a Big heart guy in a span of 6 mths...

now this happnes wen u loose power... u become a all together diff..
wen evr he was asked a tuf question I am sure he wud hv thought in his backminfd its easier to hit a six of shoiab akhtar but too tough to handle rajdeep questions..

team is to b selected for champions trophyn he does hv much hopes..
his hope is tat he needs to perform at the domestic circuit
n then prrove a point.. even he says even if he does not get selectd for the world cup..
he was simple in his thoughts world cup is not d end of the road... he stil has a lot of crciket left in him n he wil keep tryin..

though wen he said tat i was like he had enough of chances but
    each time he failed...

last bouncer form rajdeep was 'saurav do u want chappel around..'

and prompt was d answer i dont wanna answer the ques.. his eyesdown face as innocent as a baby..
n tat was d moment wen i felt bad d most

should he be given another chance,... though i m not sure even he perfomr sbrillianntly at the domestic circuit wil b evr c the face of indian team well for tat we will hv to wait n watch BUT the BIG thing wud be 'dada... stand n deliver' n then i m sure indian public can bring u in if not chappel..
Gpd luck ! to the most successful captian of BHARAT who brought a new word in the team AGGRESSION

    Back from Europe

I am back from the dream of 3 months.. One of the most excitin 90 straight days
Its stil a dream n one of the golden days of my life..

My mind still there in germany... n also felt a bit naustalgic when i was leaving..
the second time neither me nor honey ( tats d way my frnds tease me with chhavs name ) wanted to come back... for her it was a life time a full fundoo ( as i say it ) vacation... but since she was around this time I didnt wanna come back..
see i hv written so many lines but stil on my mind the thought of coming or not is runnin like an ICE train ( the fastest train of schenegan states )

tre trip started with a excellent Business class seat in Lufthansa airlines..( GOD was showing his love for me ) first the trip and then the complimentary Biz class seat..
though he was a bit merciless for not sending a sweet young lady besides me in the plane but i guess he was concerned bout chhavs as well...

started n ended my journey with elegance n style with champegene on my lips.. the journey n the stay was a good learning for me as well.. .

about each place and day I wil write again... this was just a buz to the world tat I M back again.. n things will come soon for u from my mind n heart just as soon as u wil mk a judgement bout this blog of mine ( which is in fact diff from wat i normally write )

    cheeers.. n hv a nice day !

How Opal Mehta got Kissed, Got wild and Got a Life

This novel which has created waves, in terms of being famous & being notorius, is one of the most exciting novels I have read.

The reason why i went in for this book was
    1. It was written by an Indian teenager who lives in US..:)
    2. Wanted to see the extent how a teenager is able to create a big news..
    3. She was given by the publisher, Time Warner $ 500,000 as the advance.. so much given to a teenager, at least it makes this book worth reading...

But I can tell you the truth, I was totally satisfied and happy after reading the book, which has finally created my interest into more active reading.... :)

I read this novel in record time of 10 days ! Though I am not a avid reader, but this book kept me glued to it. Opal mehta kept on attracting me towards herself, the same way I am fascinated towards french fries. ( people who know me knows this truth ).

The continuity of this book is wonderful, and the way varous incidents/ accidents and charcters have been described makes you feel, that you are with them sharing their joys.

But i was Moved when i learnt.. Kaavya, the author is accused of Plagiarism.. I could not belive it, why Kaavya, whose writing style excites me.. should such a thing.
News after news but I was convinced it must have been a mere coincidence...
How could a writer just copy writings of others?

But i was moved by this article I came across, while surfing.

The url if link does not work:
    http://www.thecrimson.com/article.aspx?ref=512965

24 passages, were said to have copied style from novels, Mccaferty's Sloppy First and second helpings..
Its a fact ! I now know it..
There can never be so much similarities between two people.. though inspration is one thing but copying the excat lines..... oh my my
Kaavya this could not have been Unintentional and Unknowingly....

I became one of the fans of your writings.. you really did a nice job... but please say NO to plagiarism... it would ruin you and your writing style..
I wonder if some one writes a new book
" How kaavya became rich, got caught and ruined her life"

    Time or No Time

There's always enough time to do all the unnecesaary things in life but never enough for the important things in life. - Quoted by my own experience

    Monday, April 10, 2006

Changes.... Do u accept it ?

Change is the only thing in life which is PERMANENT :)

How many times do we try to accept changes as it comes.. do we try to take them n enjoy it..

Well for me the Answer is " i try to but some changes are going over my head"
for instance change in my dept... the project is dead wague, boring, unfriendly, unexciting and al those things which make my day boring..

Well this change i tried to accpet it for my betterment but there seems no light of hope to where I am heading to..
Agreed tat this change for me is difficult to accept as the path is rough but taking a tough path is not tat I am worried about but there is no one who is going with me and there is no one who can show us where to go ?

The change is getting bigger and tougher each day !

    Indian Idol

Sony Tv roxs.. for the running of Indian idol.. for 2 yrs in succession.. I know it takes a lot of effort and planning for organizing.. Though I must admit I had never watched it but from some time now me chhavs are glued to it !

After the melodraama.... in the Final'es goin on between Anuj n Abhy.. we must think wat is the ideal way to run it?
Is leaving such a great respeonsibilty of the "Indian Idol" be left to people only.. who might NOT know the meanin' of Music.. the Sur.. Sangeet.. Taal... Raag all for them is their fav. contestant.. Is tat fair enough ?
The best thing about we indians is The Love we give.. The whole world appreciates this... n we all are proud of it ! but giving the same love at this stage as well when we know it may lead to success of the Undeserved.
well now we have only 3 people fighting for their "Dream" to be completed..
though their dream is in our hands but dont u think so we shud help the BEST to accomplish his dream..

I know Karnuyaa is the much deserved Indian Idol - 2 but I wish Sandeep to grab the title.. n i wil sms for his win... After all I am a TRUE Indian ;)

    Thinking Thougts ;)

Life is full of choices, no matter which one you choose, you will always think "why didnt I choose the other one". Though the one u choose might be the best but somewhere u wil feel the need of things u hv missed out in the one you didnt choose.
Now tats Life ALWAYS demanding & unpredictable !

    Heaven on Earth !

If some body would ask me , do u beleive in heaven ? then the only thought which would come to my mind is " Dude, go to Langkawii, Malaysia " and you will never ask the same question again... ( Inspired by Chlor-Mint..... doobaara mat poochna... :P.... lol )
well Langkawii was the last destination of our first honeymoon ( yes i wish to hv a lot more.. n yes plz keep tongues in cheeks only ... with d same honey ) but the memories it has on us are simply amazing... some breathtaking moments.... fantastic views.... n the lonely islands which are still natural.. unexploited by time...... n people...
The lonliness of the place.... the mist on the beach.... nice sound of music ..... tempting us to dance.... mouth watering pizza n the drinks... watching the full moon.... having Honey besides me givin' me the wanted cozziness, the sweetness of her face and the innocence in her eyes which always gives me reason to smile and which made me feel on that day "The heaven is right here".

    HoneyMoon with Honey

Honeymoon oh my god so many times i hv heard this word ! a word which made me all red when i was young.... excited when i was in teens... curious to go when i was out of college .... n wen in job I saved all the money i used to get ( though it was peanuts ... for where I wanted to go ) to prepare for the all time fav... trip "The HoneyMoon"..
My fav honeymoon snap which always brings a smile on our face.. n which makes us feel "Life is soooo Beautiful together " !
